Finnish company Peikko, the global leader in the production of reinforced concrete connections, is expanding its activity in Lithuania. The company will invest LTL 17 million in the reconstruction of a new production facility in Kaunas. All in all, 60 new jobs will be created thanks to the reconstruction and expansion.

In early 2014, Invest Lithuania announced its priority to attract foreign investment projects of game developing industry. To do this, the government has reduced the time required to hire qualified personnel from outside the EU to 2-4 weeks. Also, they made it easier to obtain work and residence permits.
As an economic location Lithuania is becoming more and more attractive to German investors. Of the total EUR 12.1 billion in foreign direct investments in Lithuania, about 10 per cent comes from German companies, with the result that Germany is already one of the most important investor countries in Lithuania.
